This study examined how perceived security affects acceptance of Internet banking, with behavioural intention acting as a mediating factor in Nigerian deposit money institutions. Based on survey field data from 423 deposit money bank clients in Nigeria, this study was performed. With the aid of ADANCO 2.1.1, survey data were examined using the partial least square (PLS) method and structural equation modelling (SEM). The study offers evidence that behavioural intention and perceived security both positively impact whether someone will accept using Internet banking. Further investigation suggests that acceptance of using Internet banking and perceived security is somewhat mediated by behavioural intention. Finally, the results indicate that behavioural intentions are more strongly influenced by perceived security than acceptability of using the internet, but acceptance of using online banking is more strongly influenced by behavioural inattention. By demonstrating the links among the studied components in the setting of a developing country and by demonstrating the mediating role of behaviour intention between perceived security and online banking, the study contributes to perceived security, internet banking, and behaviour intention. Overall, the conclusions will serve as a springboard for further empirical discussions on the topic and serve as a roadmap for decision-makers when it comes to customers' intentions to utilize Internet banking.

Ethno-religious conflict has become an essential characteristic of Nigerian federalism, especially after independence. The study investigates ethno-religious conflicts and its implications on Nigerian federalism. Relying on the triangulation of social identity theory and ethnic group conflict theory, data for the study were collected from secondary sources such as textbooks, journals, the internet, government publications, newspapers and magazines. While federalism promotes unity and preserves the diversities within a political entity, ethnoreligious conflict has militated the attainment of true federalism in the polity. The study argues that, there is an increasing frequency of ethno-religious conflicts in order to achieve the political objectives of the political gladiators. Findings reveal that ethno-religious conflict weakens the spirit of federalism and engenders sociopolitical instability. Ethno-religious conflict in Nigeria has led to discrimination of one ethnic or religious group against the other and has engendered suspicion and stifled cordial relationships among the diverse ethnic and religious groups. The study concludes that inter-ethnic rivalries have given rise to many ethnic militias such as the O’dua People Congress, the Bakassi Boys, the Egbesu Boys, the Ijaw Youth Congress, and the Igbo People Congress. Others include the Arewa Peoples Congress, the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra and the Ohanaeze N’digbo. Also, the spate of ethno-religious conflict in Nigeria since independence has claimed an estimated loss of over three million lives since independence. The study therefore recommends an overhauling of federalism to cater for the diversities of Nigerian society, education of the people by their leaders about the danger of the duo in national development, and government placing sanctions on the promoters of ethno-religious conflicts amongst others.

Many research studies have examined the issue of succession (succession planning and succession management) from various perspectives with virtually none that address the issue of succession implementation. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to examine the effect of succession implementation processes on a firm’s dynamic capabilities within selected money deposit banks in Nigeria. The research involved analyzing five Nigerian deposit money banks through a case study. To gather data, a survey research method was employed and questionnaires were distributed to the lower, mid, and top management levels of the chosen banks. A total of 362 respondents participated in the study, and their responses were subjected to multiple linear regression using the R statistic. This paper examines the effect of the Succession Implementation Process on a firm’s dynamic capabilities within selected money deposit banks in Nigeria to project effective implementation as the main driver of the succession process in the organization. The author pointed out that though the study is narrowed to the banking sector of the economy, it revealed the need for top management executives to give adequate support and backing to re-channeling energy and resources during the firm’s transition periods. Furthermore, a significant amount of time should be used on mentoring as well as executive development across levels in the organization, as this helps prevent disruptions in the firm in the transition period. Effective management of persons in the area of transition and knowledge transfers is crucial in succession implementation as this will ultimately drive innovation. Human resources are the most significant element of succession implementation; hence the development of their competencies is a key driver needed for sustained healthiness and competitive advantage. To realize this, top management executives should give adequate ...

The challenges in the business environment particularly the financial industry in Nigeria have undoubtedly made experts and managers be thinking about strategic ways of doing business to enhance customer satisfaction and organisational development. Part of this strategic option is the idea of improving team bonding among employees for them to improve effectiveness and efficiency. This study, therefore, leveraged social capital theory and resource-based theory to examine the influence of team bonding on the organisational development of the fintech sector in Lagos State from the perspective of innovation management, operational performance, and effective service delivery, A cross-sectional survey was employed, and the primary data were purposively collected through the distribution of copies of the questionnaire to 150 staff of fintech companies in Lagos State out of which 126 copies were validly filled and returned representing 84% response rate. To test the three hypotheses of this study, simple regression was applied and the result showed that they were all statistically significant at 5% level, though, team-bonding contributed more to operational performance than the other two variables (innovation management, and effective service delivery). Based on the statistical findings, the study concludes that team bonding can significantly influence organizational development in the areas of innovation management, operational performance, and effective service delivery in the Nigerian fintech sector. The study, therefore, recommends that fintech firms in Nigeria should consider the outcomes of the teams they form in their respective company rather than just forming teams to fulfill all righteousness as this will go a long way to avoiding strategic pitfalls.
